CD Crazy

Haha, my CD shopping spree continues !!! =P Haha yeah, like yesterday was at the CD shop and I saw Hot Hot Heat's new album Elevator, and like I'm a big fan of em so yeah, grabbed the CD straight away. The CD's not bad, high energy mix of '60s mod rock, '70s prog, and '80s new wave/punk, but unforunately it doesn't quite measure up to their older album. Just sounds like they were playing it safe this time, when their last album, Make Up The Breakdown, was really amazing. In that album they took different genres and did songs with their take on that genre and it was really interesting. Nontheless this current album is still alright, hopefully they'll go back to their old more adventurous songs next time. And today was at the CD shop again (it was raining dogs and cats so I just walked around and well... ya noe =P) when I happen to glance at the jazz section Jason Miles. I read a review of one of his CDs and was looking for it and wow, turns out he has a new one, titled Miles To Miles (jazz fans will know the other Miles is obviously the legendary Miles Davis), and I snapped it out straight away. Really cool stuff, its funky, and really has a certain kind of city feel to it, just awesome jazz. Really glad bout this buy, was looking for a new jazz CD so yeah =D
